Children’s Services Network (CSN)

NERF (The National Educational Research Forum)

NERF was formed in 1999 by the then Secretary of State for Education, David Blunkett, to develop a national strategy for educational research. NERF came to an end on 31st March 2006. The website is being maintained as a place to access many of the useful reports and notes of activities. The site has a useful list of education research centres.

NFER (The National Foundation for Educational Research)

The National Foundation for Educational Research aims to gather, analyse and disseminate research based information with a view to improving education and training – online access to their publications.

Office of Public Sector information

The Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) has grown out of Her Majesty’s Stationery Office (HMSO). OPSI has a broad remit to advise on and regulate the operation of the re-use of public sector information. HMSO continues to exist and fulfil its core activities including responsibility for the publication of legislation and the management of Crown copyright operating from within OPSI.

Official Documents is the official reference facility for Command and departmentally sponsored House of Commons Papers. From May 2005 onwards, all Command Papers and House of Commons Papers, as well as Key Departmental Papers, were available free on the site in PDF format. A selection of key papers published before May 2005 is also available free in the archive.
